Description: This listing is for a 1910s "Esther, Yiddish Queen" Zira Cigarettes Tobacco Silk. These type of tobacco silks were distributed by the Lorillard Tobacco Company in the 1910s. This measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/4". Esther is the star of the Purim story from Megilat Esther or the Scroll of Esther from the Hebrew bible. On the front there is a depiction of Queen Esther. On the silk it is printed "ESTHER, YIDDISH QUEEN, 200 B.C. ZIRA CIGARETTES" and "FACTORY NO.7. 5TH DIST. N.J."
