Description: I started rebuilding carburetors in 1975 while working for Antique Ford Supply in Phoenix, AZ. This is a beautiful original Ford Zenith carburetor; please see the pictures so you can see the quality of rebuild. It starts easily, idles and runs very well. This carburetor has been disassembled and has gone through a series of ultrasonic baths to remove all dirt and oil and then through additional bath/s to remove all rust or corrosion deposits. Additionally, the carburetor has been subjected to glass bead blasting to remove any possible remaining deposits. The individual jets have been inspected and hand polished to remove any restrictions. The carburetor has then been, painted with gas resistant paint, reassembled, all threads have been lubricated and a new gasket set has been installed. The carburetor is then installed on my Model A test engine and is tuned and tested for functionality. The tuning should provide you with a good starting point to ensure your vehicle starts as it should, from the beginning, without any adjustments. After this, the carburetor is split in two pieces and compressed air is used to remove all of the gasoline. I then touch up the paint and coat the bare metal surfaces with a light oil to prevent any rusting and put it into a Ziploc bag to seal it. This makes it ideal for a replacement carburetor or as a spare. Please see the photographs to see the details.
