1957 Topps Chicago Cubs 4-card lot: Wise, Drake, Speake, Singleton

Description: 4-pack of Cubs from the ill-fated 1957 season. All cards show some signs of wear, some more than others, but are free of stains and paper tears. Here is the breakdown. Solly Drake #159--Banished to the minors after his 1956 season, Drake resurfaced with the Phillies a few years later and never played for the Cubs after 1956. His card however is in very good shape, with good centering, pretty good corners and no creases. Back of card looks brand new. This is the best card in the lot. Bob Speake #339 -The Cubs centerfielder for 1957. While the corners are pretty good, this card suffers from someone having written the number 2 in both the lower left- and right-hand corners. It also has a crease that starts in the upper border, goes down to the brill of his cap, then after that, takes a left turn and exits out the left side. Looks like there is also some paper flaking off right at the brill. Either that or its tiny paint stains. Elmer Singleton #378 - Really well centered, this card has a couple of diagonal creases at the top that go from the middle of the upper border down Elmer's arm and out the right side and another smaller one just above that. There are two more diagonal creases in the lower left corner as well. The back is fine though you can see the bigger of the upper creases on the lower left third of the card. Casey Wise #396--This card shows a lot of wear. Rounded corners and two small diagonal creases in the upper right corner. In addition someone wrote the number 1 in pencil in the upper left corner of the card. Back also shows some signs of wear but is mostly unremarkable.
