Description: For sale is a Philadelphia Bank Note for 6 1/4 cents dated June 1, 1837. For deposit of 6 1/4 cents into the Manual Labor Baning House at N.E. Corner of Second & Race Streets, Philadelphia, PA. This is an extremely frail piece of paper and I really don't know how it has lasted since 1837. There are no rips or tears or pin holes, but the edges are rough as you can determine from the photos above. It is an ODD AMOUNT of money to be pre-printed on a note like this. I have had this note in my collection for at least 40 years and don't dare handle it without it being it the plastic sleeve. I took it out to make the photos and then immediately put it back. This will ship to you in a plastic sleeve so as not to be damaged in shipping. You can buy this UNIQUE note for only $125.00 plus $8.00 to ship.
