Description: This oil lamp, purportedly from the Holy Land, was formerly at the Frishman Gallery in Tel Aviv, Israel. It is estimated to be circa 2nd century A.D. The filling hole can be found in the middle of the discus, where oil would be poured. On this piece, it's deocrated with an ornate application encircling the opening. The wick hole appears at the tapered end of the lamp. This piece is about 3.5" long and about 2.5" at its widest point across. Please note that we do not export or import ancient artifacts.
