Description: A stunning antique Georgian ring featuring a rose cut garnet and paste side stones. This is a very special one of a kind piece, hand made in c. late 17th - early 18th century. The garnet is foil backed, and is incredible glowing vibrant red, with a high dome that is beautiful from every angle. The band is carved with incredible detail from every angle. As is typical for rings of this age, the metal is not hallmarked, but has been tested as at least 14kt gold (likely 15kt). Size 7.5. In very good antique condition for its age, with wear to the facets of the gems and the metal. An absolutely stunning and very wearable pice of history.
