Description: Antique Pak Kar Persian (Iran) Brass Kerosene Paraffin 18" Samovar 19th Century Rare! Pre-owned in very good condition. Extremely rare kerosene type, with unique lion's paw feet, ornate wood handles, and ebonized knob. Some dents, light verdigris around steam fittings, light tarnish, and interior calcium deposits consistent with age (deposits cleanable with appropriate cleaning agent). Missing round wick. The ultimate addition to a coffee bar or restaurant decor. PAKKAR Samovars, produced before 1900`s, were brought to Russia by way of the ancient Silk Road caravan traders. They were made of various metals such as copper, bronze, cast iron & eventually out of stainless steel. This particularly early model is made of solid brass. They come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.
