Antique Swiss Ladies Pocket Watch Remontoir Cylindre 10 Rubis Open Face 1890s

Description: We offer for your consideration this European antique ladies pocket watch. This ladies pocket watch we believe to be either French or Swiss, it carries hallmarks from both countries, The Grouse, lrg and small stamps, it even carries a German hallmark crescent moon & Crown .It also carries a stamp of a resting Lion on both the works, and the case, but we have had no luck identifying this Stamp/Hallmark. The watch case is kind of a modified hinged full hunter, with the crystal and it's bezel opening on the front. The back is pretty traditional with the outside cover and an inside dust cover. This watch is a size 10s. It is a pin set (a European feature) pendant wind.The case has hallmarks that indicate it is coin silver (.800) with traces of what looks like rose gold worn away from bezels on the front and back. But there is no hallmark or stamp to indicate that it was ever plated gold.The dial is white, but the yellowing crystal makes it look darker than it is. The hours 1-12 are indicated in roman numerals, It also has arabic numerals on the dial as well. The inside dial is numbered, in red, 13-24. The outside is numbered 5-60 in 5 minute intervals with small black ticks in between. The small sweep seconds dial has arabic numerals at 10 second intervals. The hour and minute hands are some of the fanciest I have ever seen, but they do show signs of oxidation. The seconds hand is a plain black with arrowhead.This watch (using the hallmarks as indicators) could have been made between 1880 and 1933. Amazingly it still wants to work, but a cleaning would improve the performance.
