Description: Up for sale we have a very Nice Confederate M1853 Import Cavalry sword. Another long time item I am letting go from my collection. Blade is very nice and straight with some dark spots and a couple small spots starting to rust. The scabbard is also very nice with a nice patina from years gone by. Some of these are maker marked and some are not. This one is not maker marked, but has C.S. marked on back of handle. Thou we know that the Confedeerate Government and various Southern States purchased thousand of P53(m1853) swords only a few were marked. I have had this one for 40 years since I lived in Nashville and it looks the same as when I bought it. Have had this wrapped to protect it. If you need more information just ask.
