Description: Der Deutsche Jagdverband (DJV) German Hunting Association is a non-profit, registered association and the association of 15 German state hunting associations based in Berlin. The DJV was founded on November 30, 1949 in Bad Dürkheim as an association of West German state hunting associations and organized around 70% of the approximately 100,000 hunting license holders in the Federal Republic at the time. In 2018, the DJV had around 249,000 members through its state hunting associations. As independent organizations, the state hunting associations are divided into district groups and hunting rings. The DJV is a nature conservation association recognized by the state in accordance with Section 63 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act. This is an extremely substantial and well-made piece produced by the Steinhauer und Lück company which was founded in 1889 as a manufacturer of orders, medals and badges. Unlike other new pins that are pressed tin, this is a cast piece. Measures approximately 1 1/2" by 1 1/2" overall. Great vintage condition.See photos.
