Made in the USSR. ---------------------------------- “Industar” is a trademark of anastigmat lenses produced in the USSR since the early 1930s in a variety of designs and with different optical parameters. A common feature of all “Industars” was the fundamental optical design of the Tessar type, consisting of three components, the last of which, unlike a triplet, is two lenses glued together. Most lenses of this type belong to the normal group, and were used as standard lenses in most Soviet cameras, as well as in photo enlargers, movie cameras, aerial cameras and other equipment. The name is derived from the root word “industry”, since lenses appeared in the first five-year plan of the industrialization era.
