IWC Portofino Automatic Black Dial Steel 40mm IW356502 - Used

Description: Up for sale, an IWC Portofino Automatic mens watch (Ref. 356502). This watch was clearly given as a present for someones 50th birthday and has an inscription on the case back. It is not deep and could likely be buffed out by a competent watchmaker or jeweler. The strap is original but shows heavy wear and will need a replacement shortly. The buckle is original. Dial is beautiful with no noted problems, case is generally pretty clean. I see a ding/scuff on the case near the 8 o'clock marker but it doesn't distract much from the overall condition which is fairly good. It does show some light marks here and there from typical wear. See enlarged pics for detailed cosmetics. This would make a nice understated dress/business daily wear watch. It appears to be keeping good time, I'll monitor it over a few days and note any accuracy issues. NOTE: Over a 24 hour period this watch was observed to lose about 50 seconds timed against my iPhone. The watch has been sitting a while and this accuracy error may improve with a few weeks of daily wear. Equally likely, it needs cleaning or at least regulation adjustment to be closer to factory specifications. (typically +/- 10 seconds per day) Current new retail for this watch is right at $5k.
