The box has red guilloche enamel with black and white enamel over what I believe is copper, or may be silver gilt. The box is hinged and is marked Germany on the bottom. The box dates to the Art Deco period, circa 1910-1930. It is lovely on a desk or your dresser, for your favorite piece of jewelry, as a pill or a keepsake box for your most valued treasures. The box is in gorgeous condition with no cracks or chips to the enamel. The lady bug is 2 inches (52mm) long and 1.5 inches (40mm) wide and 7/8 inch (21mm) tall.
