Description: Up for sale here is this large vintage power transformer, probably from the 1940s and Made in USA. It appears to be marked 6868J on the top edge. There are ten terminals on the bottom, plus two red wires coming out of the bottom. I tested this, using 120VAC into the red wires, and I measured the following voltages across the various terminals, which I numbered 1-10: 1/2 31.1v3/4 2.9v5/6 2.9v7/8 68v9/10 160v8/9 5.2v7/10 750v5/8 5.6v3/7 377v3/10 380v4/10 375v4/7 380v1/10 380v2/10 136v Transformer always test a bit high unloaded, and this probably has a 115v primary, so I am guessing this has secondaries of 650vCT, 2.5v, 5v, 117v, and possibly a few others. I don't have the current ratings, but this is pretty big so I'd imagine you could build a nice tube amp with it. This is used with moderate overall wear and some light rust, but it's not too bad. It looks fairly good, and is guaranteed to work for you. This has some great specs and would be awesome for building a tube amp. Please see my pictures for details and dimensions. US shipping and handling is $15. If you have any questions, please ask. I have more transformers and other vintage electronics listed--feel free to take a look!
