Just snap the metal encoder onto the rear of your lenses, follow the insertion point as shown in the above picture, turn and snap the lock in place. Position the coding slots upwards as shown with reference to the coding table provided. Either using black touch up paint or permanent marker will do the job neatly and accurately. Paint can be removed with acetone or thinner if you are no longer want the code to be marked on the lenses.
