Description: Leica M-Summarit 5cm f/1.5 rangefinder normal lens. Serial # 1276656. Made in Germany. Circa.1955. Will fit bayonet mount Leica M3, M4, M2, M5, M6, M6 TTL or Leica M7 cameras. Can also be used on Leica digital cameras like the M8, M9, M10, M240, M11,and M Monochrom. This lens can also be used on most mirrorless digital cameras with the proper adapter. Filter size is 41mm. Close focusing from 3.5 feet. Scales are in feet. Aperture range from f/1.5 - f/16. Lens is in Ex++/Mint- or 9/9.5 of 10 cosmetic condition. Barrel of lens has nice chrome finish. No DENTS or DINGS. Very clean barrel. Lens has a few small fine clean/coating marks seeable with a flashlight only. These minor fine coating marks will not affect you photos. Clear optics that have been cleaned best as possible for a vintage lens. Lens was cla"d by DAG in 2024. Smooth focusing. Smooth working aperture blades with no oil on them. Nice good shooter, or collector vintage "classic" Leica FAST normal lens that will produce nice images. Scarce lens to find in Leica M mount. Includes caps, and a E. Leitz Wetzlar 41mm UVa filter.
