Description: Original family ownership’s offering of a Vintage, Lionel Postwar (period 1955-1956) Operating Barrel Car as follows: · No. 3562-25, O Gauge, Santa Fe ATSF, Gray Operating Barrel Car (with original box). · No. 362-78 Six Barrels (with original box). · No. 160 Black Bin. · Push Button Control Switch No. 96C. · Man, Plastic Figure Barrel Operator. · Lionel OTC Lockon Track Contactor. Purchased by the seller’s parents at F.A.O. Schwarz, Fifth Ave., NYC and last used during the 1961 Christmas season. These offered items, as well as numerous other mid-1950’s Lionel items, have been in storage for decades in their original boxes at the seller’s non-smoking homes. Specific descriptions are as follows: (1) No. 3562-25 Operating Barrel Car. CONDITION: EXCELLENT. The Barrel Car remains solidly built. It is very clean with no rust, paint wear, scruffs, scratches or dents. It has retained its rich gray color with no age toning. Its navy-blue lettering/numbering is clear, not faded or scratched. Its two (2) couplers and the top-mounted barrel moving lever move / swing smoothly. Please note – the Operating Barrel Car has not been tested. (2) No. 3562-25 Original Lionel Box. CONDITION: VERY GOOD+. The box’s structure remains rigid and intact. Both ends’ exterior and interior fold flaps are complete and 100% functional. The box has no stains, tears, scratches or seam splits. Its orange and blue colors do show moderate age toning. (3) No. 362-78 Six Barrels. CONDITION: VERY GOOD+. All six (6) barrels are clean and have no damage marks, nicks or scratches. (4) No. 362-78 Six Barrels Original Box. CONDITION: EXCELLENT. The box is “like new”, with no stains, scratches or other damage marks. It has retained its original, rich “Lionel” blue and orange colors with no age toning. Its structure remains rigid and intact. Both ends’ exterior and interior fold flaps are complete and 100% functional. (5) No. 160 Bin. CONDITION: EXCELLENT. It has retained its rich, black glossy color with no scratches, nicks, chips or other damage marks. (6) Man, Figurine Barrel Operator. CONDITION: EXCELLENT. This original plastic figure has no damage marks. Its navy-blue overalls & cap, flesh toned face and hands are “like new”. (7) Push Button Control Switch No. 96C. CONDITION: VERY GOOD+. The push button control switch is very clean with no rust marks. It has two (2) small scruff marks on its sides, each being to the left and right of the red push button. The red bush button is 100% intact and depresses smoothly. Please note – The Control Switch has not been tested. (8) Lionel OTC Lockon Track Contactor. CONDITION: VERY GOOD+. Has no rust marks, dented or missing pieces. Please note – The Lockon Track Contactor has not been tested.
