A very nice vintage condition Ostby Barton sterling silver and 12k gold filled agate ring. Ostby Barton jewelry has a fascinating and tragic connection to the Titanic sinking. The family story is worth the time finding and reading an article. There are many reputable websites with detailed stories from an internet search. This natural banded agate measures approximately 17.9 x 8.9mm. It has a great mix of translucent peach, coral, and milky white tones tones with a hint of blue. The face of the ring measures 20mm at it's widest. The band measures 2mm wide at the rear. Correctly stamped OB Sterling + 1/20 10K GF. The gold accents are ribbon style flowers and they do show some signs of wear. The bezel has a slight scuff mark. There are some signs of age appropriate wear, but no serious issues.
