The Chicago Tribune, Chicago, U.S.A." The Chicago Tribune was founded in 1847. It isn't common to see special books published to celebrate an 80th birthday. This hardcover book is (96) years old. It is signed and personalized with "Tinley Park Public School" in the front and back and "AMERICAN RED CROSS" in front. Tinley Park is a suburb southwest of Chicago, Illinois. I will never know why or how this book ended up in Texas. I have tried to photograph the obvious flaws. Please look at photographs carefully. There are stains on the front and back covers. The paper that lines the inside front cover has separated revealing some of the fabric binding, but the binding is secure and tight. Most of the gilt stamped on the cover and spine is intact and distinct. There are minor foxed areas on the endpapers. This book has (790) numbered pages, (3) endpapers in front, (3) endpapers in back.Illustrated in black and white. No rips, tears, warps, or smears on any of the main text pages.
