Description: (EDIT: Turned it on again and all the buttons seem to be working now except the volume)Radio Shack Pro-2016 desktop scanner.This scanner has a frequency range as follows:29-54/108-174/406-512MHz Comes with adapter (not the original)This scanner worked perfectly until I turned it on this morning and the word "LOAD" came up on the display screen for a few seconds.Ever since then a lot of the buttons on the keypad stopped working and the volume isn't working.I tried to reset the scanner by turning the power on while holding down the 2 and the 9.The word "CLEAR" is supposed to come up on the screen but instead the word "LOAD" appeared again.May be an easy fix and may not, but it's out of my field of expertise, so I'm gonna pass it on to someone smarter than me who might be able to get it straightened up.I really hate this because it worked flawlessly yesterday, so hopefully it's nothing major.This scanner has a 9V adapter with it, but it calls for a 10V.Not sure if the lower output of the 9V could cause any issues like this or not, but a faulty adapter can cause a scanner to not function properly.I have some 12V adapters, but I'm not gonna risk an overload and potentially do more damage.
