Description: Schlaggenwald Grey Neoclassical Acanthus Leaf Lavender & Gold Deep Plate C.1840 B Nice antique mid 19th century Bohemian porcelain deep plate / soup plate. Decorated with a black and grey Neoclassical acanthus leaf pinwheel in the center. Has a lavender purple border with gold floral medallions over white. Gold gilding along the inner rim and edge of the plate. Impressed Schlaggenwald on the reverse. This mark was used by Lippert & Haas in Schlaggenwald between 1830 and 1846. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 9 5/8 inches wide x 1 3/4 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. AW
