Created by the Shoe Surgeon to celebrate an anniversary for the All the Smoke podcast with Matt Barnes and Steven Jackson. This special version of the popular Air Jordan 4 model has seen several nods to All The Smoke added by Shoe Surgeon. All The Smoke branding is seen throughout, including on the back heel tab where normally either the OG Nike Air or Jumpman branding resides. The All The Smoke logo is also seen on left tongue with the addition of a DraftKings crown, as well as on the green insoles, while the show’s start date of 10-21-19 is embroidered on the right lateral side. In addition, the show’s logo can also be seen on the special briefcase packaging and the included dust bag. A special numbered edition hang tag will also be included. The shoe’s upper is built out of a number of premium materials. These include a black tumbled leather mudguard and tongue, black leather wings topped with grey leather lace tabs, black python toward the back of the upper, a 3M reflective underlay underneath the trademark Air Jordan 4 white netting and a quilted grey mesh inner lining. The shoe’s midsole is black featuring grey paint splatter with hits of white toward the heel and grey toward the forefoot. Another special touch is a “smoked out” air unit, another nod to All The Smoke. The Air Jordan 4 is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year and is yet another classic from the sneaker design GOAT, Tinker Hatfield. The shoe was initially worn on court by Michael Jordan during the 1988-89 NBA season for the Bulls and features some similar design cues from the Air Jordan 3 such as visible air in the heel. However, the AJ4 also featured a few noteworthy departures, including the famous wings on the back toward the heel and the mesh panels in the middle of the upper as well as a unique lacing system that allows for a number of different lacing patterns.
