Description: This old pure cotton quilt is in remarkably good condition and wonderfully soft. The very, very fine stitching all over has given it that beautiful texture that you just can't replicate in a newer quilt. Pieced together with tiny hand stitches and hand quilted with the same, this is a good size for a twin bed and the faded colors display beautifully. Measures about 73" x 76" Weighs 2.8 lbs. Its condition is generally excellent with no tears and only a few small, light stains. There are some holes in the lime green fabric that occur in a pattern, apparently caused by a particular dye. The edges are frayed in places and yellowed from handling. The cotton batting still has some loft where it counts, in the middle, but the sides thin out to almost no batting. There's no binding sewn over the edges; instead, it's hemmed (by hand).
