Its strength lies in good sharpness and contrast, pleasant calm bokeh and compactness, which allows you to always take it with you. It should be remembered, however, that Jupiter-9 does not cope well with more general tasks than portrait photography: it is inconvenient and poor at macro photography, and not good enough at photographing landscapes. The lens is designed for use on rangefinder cameras only and has a working distance of 28.8 mm. This means that it can only be fully used on mirrorless cameras with the appropriate adapter. On SLR cameras, this lens only works as a macro lens. It is not suitable for portrait and landscape photography.
