Description: Stanhopea guttata ‘Brazilian beast x sib (spotted elephant) Up for auction is a flask of a truly magnificent and very rare species from Brazil. It is thought that this species may infact be extinct in the wild. It is suggested that this is synonymy's with oculata, however I have flowered many plants of occulata and they do seem to be a bit different. The flowers are really impressive and quite large with dark purple spotting and a purple mottled lip. It has taken me many years to get accurate plants of this species and this is a sibing between the two best. If you enjoy great Stanhopea species, this is a must for your collection.
