Description: Swiss Zenith 9ct gold half hunter pocket watch in a Dennison case hallmarked for Birmingham c1920 with top wind and time change. Black Roman hours on the outer case and internal signed white enamel dial with black hours and blued steel hands with a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o/c. High quality signed Swiss 17 jewel lever movement numbered 2536723 with micro regulator system, bi-metallic balance, and overcoil hairspring. The English Dennison case is numbered 204418 and the watch is complete with the original retailer's plush lined case. Case diameter 49.5mm. Zenith watches as a company was started in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot in Le Locle in the canton of Neuchâtel and is one of the oldest continuously operating watchmakers. Favre-Jacot invented the concept of in house movements, believing that only through control of the entire watchmaking process could the highest quality be achieved.
