Item was taken from Battlefield circa 1966-1969 from 199th Infantry Brigade stationed at Fort Benning, GA Based on research of the unit during it's time, as a historian, this unit was LIKELY captured fromLong Binh/Bien Hoa, Vietnam duringthe TET OFFENSIVE of January 31, 1968 when the US Forces counterattacked the NVA forces, capturing many Soviet Russian and Chinese weapon caches. However this radio was captured, This IS a piece of US HISTORY. Still has dirt from the Battlefield!!! This unit would have been at the Squad level for an infantry unit meaning this would have been in ACTION or in the fight against US forces. Not a company or battalion level radio system.
