Vintage 1960 YASHICA LYNX 1000 RANGEFINDER CAMERA

Description: Highly CollectibleVintage 1960 YASHICA LYNX 1000 RANGEFINDER CAMERA - YASHINON 1:1.8 f=4.5cm Lens Made in JAPAN This is a very clean version of the orginal Yashica Lynx 1000 Rangefinder that Yashica made 64 Years ago!! This is has a f/1.8 45mm Lens and a Shutter Speed that tops out at 1/1000 which was fast for it’s day! The meter DOES seem to still work, but I wouldn’t trust it for anything but fun :-). if I point it at a bright light and change the shutter speed, it will change, but again, take that with a grain of salt... All three wheels turn, and the shutter is snappy, but sticks on the slower speeds. Aperture stops down correctly it seems like. The Rangefinder also seems to work, but the viewing lens is a touch amber colored - that could have been how it always was. but it DOES work and you can see the difference when using it with the focus! The Focus wheel does NOT turn all the way to Inf focus and binds about 3/4 of the way… The taking lens looks perfect though, not mold or fungus, etc… gorgeous! For this unit to really be a good working camera it will need a complete CLA, but it could be worth it to do, since it is really in great shape! It’s really a VERY CLEAN Camera, esp from 1960! So, it “works” but needs work - so Im selling it as a parts unit, more for the collectible condition, looking great on your shelf, but with a CLA, it could be a like new camera!! DOES come with a Leather strap, not sure if it was original to the camera, but it is leather… included as a bonus :-) SN 6029283 It is overall clean, no corrosion I could find, it’s pretty nice, but might have a few marks here and there… MADE IN JAPAN!!
