This beautiful set, totaling 5 pieces: 5 Mid Century vintage collins highball glasses were designed by Fred Press. The glasses feature 22k gold stylized fish emblazoned on black cased glasses with a clear weighted base. The highball is 12 ounces, and measures 5 5/8" high, 2 7/8" wide. Fred Press Fred Press was born in Boston, MA in 1919. He studied and later taught at the Vesper George School of Art and was the founder of the sculpture collection Contemporary Arts, Inc. In the 1950s, Press moved to New York City where he became chief designer for Rubel and Co. and turned his artistic skills towards glassware and giftware. He was one of the most versatile and prolific of America's 20th Century designers. Press produced hundreds of sculptures and paintings (which are part of the permanent collection of Boston's Museum of Fine Arts) in addition to numerous glassware designs. His product designs won awards from New York's Museum of Modern Art. His unique products and glassware remain popular today. Fred Press died in 2012
