Description: Vintage Nepalese Gurkha Kukri Knife & Sheath The kukri (English: /ˈkʊkri/)[2] or khukuri (Nepali: खुकुरी, pronounced [kʰukuri]) is a type of machete originating from the Indian subcontinent, and is traditionally associated with the Nepali-speaking Gurkhas of Nepal. There is normal aging ware and some rusting to the blade, the metal tip on the sheath is missing and one small knife is missing. The knife and sheath (even with the sheath missing the the metal tip) are both still in sturdy condition. Kukri scabbards are usually made of wood or metal with an animal skin or metal or wood covering. This one appears to be made of wood with an animal skin covering.
