Description: You are purchasing a vintage Philco Tube Radio "Boomerang" Model 49-501. The radio is being sold as is from my personal radio collection. The radio has been repainted and clear coated. The radio displays beautifully as evidenced by the photos with this listing.The radio cabinet surface is as good as it gets with no chips or marks. Please view the photos. This model radio usually has some damage and a photo of the inside shows on the left hand side shows what appears to be a very well done repair. The chassis appears to be complete. The radio tubes show light but I am not able to pick up any stations. I do not run radios in my collection. The radio would need service if one wanted to run the radio. While the original bakelite model came in brown and white (cream) I believe oneseldom finds an original without a crack(s). A frequent radio repair person repainted this radio for me. He was one of the best at restoration and repaint. While I prefer radios not repainted this model for me was an exception. In my view it checked the boxes for me.I am selling my collection as it is time to pass these to another caretaker. Reluctantly I let this one go because these are hard to find.
