Description: Here is a nice looking 1950's Zenith G725 AM/FM radio with vacuum tubes. It plays well on both FM and AM and sounds excellent. It will pick up strong FM stations without an external antenna but for weaker stations you'll need an external antenna. It looks decent for a 70+ year radio, the Bakelite case is not cracked or missing any pieces, the top handle is missing a few plastic rings. All tubes have been tested and weak or defective tubes have been replaced. Most paper capacitors have been replaced by modern film capacitors and the electrolytic caps in the power supply have been replaced as well. If you are into collecting vintage tube radios, this would be a nice addition, Note that this radio meets the electrical safety standards that were in effect in 1950, it does NOT meet current electrical safety standards. Don't plug it in with children around or leave it playing unattended. Lower left knob: selects AM/FM (inner knob) and tunes the radio (outer knob).Lower right knob: on/off and volume control.Knob in middle of tuning dial: tone control.
