Description: Zenith Classic C845 L AM-FM Radio High Fidelity Phono Input FOR PARTS NEEDS WORK What works: This radio turns on and can sort of be tuned. The combined AM/FM tuner seems to work. The phono input works and provides great sound! The large speaker gives it great bass, and it also has a tweeter with decent treble. I cleaned the dust out of the insides. Tubes are intact. What doesn't work: It won't stay tuned. The knob "resists" when you get too far up or down the dial. I suspect the unit was dropped at some point, damaging the rotor on the capacitor so that it doesn't turn smoothly. CONDITION: FOR PARTS/REPAIR. Capacitor needs repair/replacing. Missing feet. Cabinet veneer has scratches and needs refinishing. There's a chip in one corner of the cabinet where it appears as though the radio was dropped. Some of the plastic knobs are losing their silver coating. Won't stay tuned. Plastic parts are yellowed from age and there are a few chips in the plastic.
