Description: This H500 has been professionally restored, both the electronics and cosmetics. The paper capacitors were replaced with modern film capacitors. A FILT-R-PAK + has been installed, which is a circuit board under the chassis that contains all the filter capacitors, a modern silicon rectifier to replace the old selenium rectifier, and power resistor. The tubes were tested and replaced where necessary. The radio brings in stations on all the bands. The radio was tested on a working battery, and it functions properly. The cabinet was cleaned and treated with black shoe dye and black shoe polish. All the plastic was polished to like new condition with plastic polish. The plastic front panel has a crack to the top left of the dial, but it does not interfere with the operation. There are cracks around two of the bottom mounting screws for the front panel. The brass parts were cleaned and polished, then treated to prevent tarnish. The wave rod antenna is straight, the catch near the top functions well. A new power cord and plug was installed.
